The Words to the Westminster Chimes
Lord through this hour
Be thou our guide
So, by thy power
No foot shall slide

The "Westminster Chimes" were originally used on the clock at Great St. Mary's, Cambridge, and where then called, "Cambridge Chimes." The chimes were derived from Handel's 'Messiah'. Because of their adoption at Westminster, they are known as the "Westminster Chimes". The bells are tuned to the key of F major with the hour bell (Big Ben) sounding note E.
